Wag-ters and Wag-tresses begin patio service Sunday April, 1st
Dog diners will finally feel completely understood when they visit one of Craft & Crew Hospitality’s dog friendly patios starting Sunday, April 1. The group that operates “pawtios” at Stanley’s Northeast, Pub 819 and The Howe Daily Kitchen & Bar responded to overwhelming pup customer feedback by announcing their wait staff would be changing over completely to dogs in order to create a more authentic environment.
“Who better to understand our beloved pups than one of their own?” said Steve Benowitz, Owner, Craft & Crew Hospitality in a recent discussion about the upcoming patio season. “Our dogs love us, but when it comes to dining out, they’d much rather have their furry friends handling the service.”
Giving a new meaning to service animal, “Sit, Stay, Serve Training” has begun. Most of the new wag-ters and wag-tresses took the job for the free ‘nilla woofers and belly scratches they’ll receive all day. But Gwen Stepawni (pictured), their newest and possibly most dedicated wag-tress wants more than just the physical rewards. “Long walks to the park just weren’t doing it for me anymore, I really wanted to step into my role as the good girl I am.”
Craft & Crew has two year-round and two additional seasonal dog friendly patios serving a full food and drink menu for humans, as well as a 3-course menu for dogs.
Pup tip from Gwen: “When you dine with Craft & Crew, try to make your order short and simple, our crew can be easily distr…..squirrel!”
